Calton Cryogenics Institute.
A highly conceptual architectural design project, the original brief was to establish a novel view on the term dwelling. The resulting design for a cryogenics institute was context driven and utilized a disused sub-station as a front to the newly constructed built condition. Highly considered architectural moves were derived from a self designed hieroglyphic language; itself drawn from the architecture of ice.
Commuter Interchange.
An architectural design project set in the heart of Edinburghs busiest commuter district. The brief focused on the simplification of the Haymarket rail station primarily for the use of commuters. Architectural moves were made with the clear intention of streamlining services for commuters and incorporating links to additional forms of public transport; such as buses and trams.
Private Residence, Dundee.
An architectural project centred on the redevelopment of an existing stable condition. A primarily client driven project, the brief was set into two parts, first to redevelop the existing stable and secondly to construct a new dwelling adjacent to the stable building. Both structures were to be designed as private residences. Architectural moves were drawn from the development of equestrian equipment.

The project is a highly conceptual architectural proposition, born out of a hypothesis raised by an experiment documented in neuron magazine. The experiment involved creating images of a subject thoughts using fmri technology. The hypothesis stated that with the inevitable advancements in fmri technology we could, one day be able to download and watch colour videos of our dreams. The proposition strives to infuse architecture and technology to solve social integration problems in the border regions of the
United States-Mexico.
Nathan was born in the vibrant and bustling city of Edinburgh in 1989, at a very young age Nathan developed a keen eye for photography. However it wasnt until during his secondary education that Nathan discovered his love for Architecture & Design. In 2007 he enrolled at Edinburgh Napier University to study B(Des) Interior Architecture. The diverse course encompassed projects from Architecture to conceptual spatial design and everything in-between. The course also allowed Nathan to indulge and develop his photography skills. Nathan is currently completing his honours year and is expected to graduate in the summer of 2011.
